Here's one of my free knitting patterns. This is a quick project that can be completed in one weekend. I hope you enjoy knitting this easy and warm neck warmer (shoulder warmer).
Size:
Woman’s Medium.
Materials
Needed:
· Yarn: 125 to 200 yards of any super bulky yarn (6 gauge)
· 24” Circular Needle - Size U.S.
15 (10.0 mm)
· 1 Large stitch marker
Finished
Measurements (Lying Flat):
· Height = 10” to 12” (depending on your preferences)
· Width across top = 12” and when stretched = 16”
· Width across bottom = 17” and when stretched = 20” to 21”
Instructions:
· Cast on 72 stitches. Join
for working in the round (being careful not to twist stitches)
· Place Marker
· Knit 2, Purl 2 for 5” or
6” (depending on preference)
Next Row: First Decrease:
*K2 P2tog, K2, P2 (repeat from * to end) =
63 stitches
· Continue knitting for
another 2” following the pattern:
*K2 P1 K2 P2 (repeat from * to end)
Next Row: Second Decrease:
*K2 P1 K2 P2tog (repeat from * to end) = 54
stitches
· Continue knitting following pattern for another 3” to 4”
Finishing:
· When piece measures 10” to 12” inches from bottom to top, bind off loosely
· Following the pattern stitches, and weave in
loose ends
· If necessary, steam block to shape
· Enjoy your neck warmer.
It will keep you very warm!
