Pink in the Details

Hi Everyone:

Happy Pink Saturday! Please be sure to visit the originator of Pink Saturday - Beverly - at How Sweet The Sound. She started Pink Saturday and there is a huge following of Pink lovers from all over the world listed in her blog. Be sure to visit her blog to see the participant sites. Thank you Beverly!

I decided to do a Pink Saturday post that shows pink in my latest oil painting entitled "The Hamptons."

It reminds me of the Hamptons (especially the lighting and shadows) and it makes me happy too. If you look closely at the geraniums - you will see some fuschia pink.

There's something about painting in oils that makes you feel connected to the painting.

Au revoir!

Susan, this is excellent. I think you should continue working in oils, I adore this one, and I bet the person you painted it for is in heaven. I was up late waiting for Sarah to come home, and was thankful to float around blogland.

Happy Pink Saturday! Talk to you later.

Love, Karen

Susan, I love the window box painting.
I have some of those pink geraniums in a box planter on my deck. They are beautiful. Not for long though. It will freeze here tonight. Have a great Sunday.

Hi Susan! Happy Pink Saturday! Your painting does remind me of the Hamptons!

Thanks for your nice comments -- yep I'm a lifelong Brooklynite so I'd miss it if I left. I have a good friend who lives in Norristown, PA and I always have fun visiting the King of Prussia Mall when I go out there!

Your fiber art is lovely -- I will be back to see more!

Hugs, Pat

Happy Pink Saturday, Susan.

You and Karen are so talented. There must be artistic flair running in your genes.

I love all forms of painting, and I agree that each medium evokes a different feel. Oil is so lifelike, and it makes me think I can reach out and touch the subject.

Your subject is something I always love. Windows give the hint of all the good contained within. And, windows with boxes filled with pink geraniums can only mean good things.
