Craft Show Booth

I was in a craft show on Saturday in King of Prussia, PA. It took place at a school, so the book reports hanging behind my booth were not planned as my backdrop, but they were interesting to look at. I displayed my items and took some photos of my booth, which was 8 feet long by 2 feet deep.

Unfortunately, I was hoping for a cold snap in the weather to boost sales of my knitted items, but with the crazy Spring rainstorms and tornado watches on Saturday (11/15!!!), there were less customers than planned. Plus, with our economy the way it is, there were certainly less buyers.

I met lots of nice people, however, and learned about what customers were looking for. My neckwarmers are unique and although there were many knitters at this show who mainly knit scarves and baby clothing, I was happy to hear nice comments about my designs.

I met Durga Dingari from Inspiration Bead Works. She is a jewelry designer, beadwork artist, and knitting and crochet fiber artist from India. Please browse through her webpage. I also met Anna from Croatia, a lovely lady who sings in the church choir.

It was a lot of work, but certainly worth it.
