Knitting and Christmas

This post is about Christmas. I am knitting some of my gifts this year, but I also want to experience the real meaning of Christmas and get into the Spirit of the Holiday Season by being thankful for what I have and not going overboard and get caught up in the "shopping" frenzy.

This is one of my favorite Christmas songs. It's sung by a celtic choir with gorgeous stained glass photos: Jesus Christ the Apple Tree.

Here's a nice video with Frank Sinatra singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

I always wanted to stay in a cabin for Christmas, like in Maine, with a nice fireplace, lots of snow, good food, and knitting of course!

A Celtic Christmas video link: Very pretty! Maybe Christmas in Scotland in the Shetland Islands, I always loved their knitting. Here's a blog link to a Christmas Shetland sweater.

Ornaments to Knit:

This Blog called Little Cotton Rabbits has a cute pattern to knit Christmas Tree Bears.
Here are tons of free Christmas knitting patterns at this link, and more at this one.

One year I started knitting 5 sweaters in October! One person received his with the knitting needles still in the box. I finished his sweater soon after.

Keep knitting!
